Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who has worked specifically on commercial and industrial electrical system design. This role requires someone who understands the nuances of HVAC integration, cleanroom utilities, and large-scale electrical load design.

Please Note: We are looking only for candidates with prior experience in HVAC/MEP, industrial, or commercial project design. Others will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design SLDs, electrical layouts, lighting plans, cable routing, earthing, and panel sizing for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Prepare load calculations, voltage drop calculations, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Select and size electrical components: DBs, panels, cables, switchgear, UPS, VFDs, etc.
• Ensure system design is compliant with IS, IEC, NBC, and local electrical board regulations.
• Coordinate electrical services with HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, BMS, and gas piping teams.
• Use AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, or equivalent tools to prepare design drawings and simulations.
• Support the project and site team during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants, architects, and vendors.
• Prepare as-built drawings and support O&M documentation.

Required Soft Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and client coordination.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks across multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams (HVAC, BMS, Civil, Fire, etc.).
• Excellent documentation skills for BOQs, specs, compliance records, and design reports.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving attitude during design or site issues.
• Professional behavior with ownership mindset, especially during site execution follow-ups.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech/MTech) in Electrical Engineering – Full-time.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in electrical design for HVAC, MEP, industrial, or commercial projects (must-have).
• Strong understanding of HT/LT distribution, panel design, transformer/DG/UPS integration, and energy-saving practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, with working knowledge of equivalent tools.
• Experience in cleanroom electrical design, data centers, or controlled environments is a plus.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
