HVAC Site Engineer Role Overview

The HVAC Site Engineer will be responsible for on-site execution, supervision, and coordination of HVAC and ventilation systems across industrial and cleanroom projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, site management capability, and adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.

This position is execution-focused and requires hands-on involvement in ducting, piping, equipment installation, air handling units, exhaust systems, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Installation

• Supervise installation of HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, ducting, insulation, exhaust systems, and ventilation units.
• Ensure installation aligns with approved drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Monitor installation of HVAC systems including HEPA filtration and air balancing where needed.
• Coordinate civil openings, structural supports, and utility connections.
  

2. Project Coordination

• Work closely with project managers, consultants, and client representatives.
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams for integrated MEP execution.
• Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and manpower.
• Attend site review meetings on daily/weekly/monthly and provide progress updates.
  

3. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Conduct inspection checks for duct leakage, pressure testing, and airflow validation.
• Support cleanroom validation activities where required.
• Maintain daily site reports and quality checklists.
  

4. Testing & Commissioning

• Assist in testing and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Monitor air balancing, static pressure checks, and temperature performance.
• Identify and rectify installation or performance deviations.
• Support final handover documentation and client training.
  

5. Safety Management

• Ensure adherence to site safety protocols.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe work practices.
• Monitor proper PPE usage and safe equipment handling.
  

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in HVAC site execution (industrial or commercial projects preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ducting systems, chilled water piping, insulation, and ventilation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and technical documents.
