We are seeking an experienced professional who can develop business opportunities and independently handle HVAC estimation and proposal engineering.

Role Overview

The Sales & Estimation Engineer will be responsible for front-end client development and back-end techno-commercial preparation, from initial enquiry and site survey to heat load inputs, BOQs, costing, proposal submission, and closure support.

This role requires strong command over HVAC systems, industrial ventilation, exhaust systems, and project costing.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Generate and manage enquiries for HVAC, industrial exhaust, ventilation, and air pollution control–linked systems
  • Conduct client meetings, site surveys, and technical requirement discussions
  • Develop relationships with consultants, EPCs, architects, plant engineering teams, and procurement heads
  • Track opportunities, support negotiations, and assist management in order closures
  • Develop repeat business from existing clients (retrofits, expansions, AMC, compliance upgrades)

Estimation & Proposal Engineering

  • Prepare HVAC and industrial exhaust system estimates, including:
    • Heat load / air quantity inputs
    • Equipment sizing coordination (AHUs, blowers, scrubbers, ducting, insulation, piping)
    • BOQs, costing sheets, and vendor evaluations
  • Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams for optimized solutions
  • Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals, compliance documents, and deviations
  • Support management during technical clarifications, negotiations, and finalization

Technical Skill Requirements

  • Strong hands-on understanding of:
    • Central HVAC systems, chilled water systems, AHUs, ducting, ventilation
    • Industrial exhaust systems, fume extraction, dust collection, wet scrubbers
    • Airflow calculations, static pressure concepts, and zoning logic
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • HVAC layouts, P&IDs, GA drawings, tender BOQs
  • Practical exposure to:
    • Project costing, vendor pricing, margin structures
    • HVAC equipment and ducting estimation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / HVAC / Industrial Engineering
  • 3–4 years of mandatory experience in HVAC sales and/or HVAC estimation
  • Proven exposure to industrial or pharmaceutical HVAC / ventilation projects
  • Proficient in MS Excel, proposal preparation, and technical documentation
  • Willingness to travel for site surveys, client meetings, and project discussions

  • Goal-driven with long-cycle industrial project selling experience
